But let me see if there is any room for dialogue on one point, where you seem to be contradictory.
Is your argument that popular culture, even if it takes up a historical topic, should be immune from any historical or political interpretation, because it is "just for fun"? And so we should just shut up and watch the movie?
Or is your argument that you disagree with my political and historical analysis? That in fact there's a proper cultural and historical analysis to make, that this is just a "pseudo-liberal" one (new word!).
Which one is it? You start with one but then move to the other.
